Membership to The Merc is one of the best bargains in town. Membership is open to the public with the payment of a small annual fee. A Mercantile Library Membership gives access to the best fiction and mystery collection in the country, as well as works of literary non-fiction, mainstream and literary periodicals, our newsletter, The Literarian, use of our beautiful and newly restored Great Reading Room, and advance notice and free or reduced price admission to all literary programming.
